A hands-on skills-building programme where young people learn by doing. They investigate how things work, experimenting with real materials, exploring practical processes and turning ideas into something tangible.
Wayfinder Skill Builders is for children aged 10 years and older.
Weekly Skill Builders classes run on thursdays from 15:00–16:00. You can join as a drop-in for R350 per participant, or take the monthly option: R999 for 4 classes, one class each week.
Weekly classes are one focused hour each thursday. The monthly workshop is a longer, more substantial hands-on project with more time and more materials, at R450 per participant, per workshop.
No. Activities are introduced from the beginning and guided throughout. Curiosity is the only requirement.
Sessions generally move through exploring a material or question, investigating it, designing an idea, building it and then talking about what worked and what could be tried next. The order adapts to the project and the group.
Yes. Age-appropriate materials and tools are provided for each activity. Anything a participant needs to bring will be listed on the workshop page.
Activities are guided and supervised throughout. Tools and materials are age-appropriate, introduced by the facilitator, and used under supervision.

Comfortable clothes that can get marked. Anything else specific to a workshop will be listed on that workshop's page once confirmed.
Use the booking form to request a weekly class or a monthly workshop place. We'll reply to confirm your child's place and share any remaining details. No payment is taken on the website. Payment is arranged directly with Sonia.

Wayfinder Skill Builders is a practical and creative skills-building experience with a deeply supportive approach. Sonia incorporates nervous-system-informed techniques to help create a calm, supportive environment where children can engage with the creative process.
